Erika M. Bruner
Erika M. Bruner, age 82 a resident of Heritage Hills Retirement Community of Greencastle, Pa. and formerly of the Tower at Falling Spring Chambersburg and a long time resident of Beaver Falls, Pa. died at 6:41 A.M.Wednesday May 14, 2008 in the Chambersburg Hospital Chambersburg, Pa.
Born November 20, 1925 in Frankfurt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Karl Andreas and Else Rosa (Viktoria) Brinkmann.
She was a homemaker and a volunteer chaplain for women at the Beaver County Prison. She also was a lay pastor in the Methodist Church.
Mrs. Bruner was a member of the Central Methodist Church in Beaver Falls and volunteered at the local soup kitchen. She also was a member of the Christians United Of Beaver County. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble.
Her husband, Jack E. Bruner died in 1989.
Surviving family are two sons, Michael Bruner of Eureka, California and Gary Bruner of Chambersburg, Pa.
One brother, Karl Brinkmann of Germany.
Four Grandchildren, Caleb Bruner, Katie Bruner, Camden Bruner and Hanya Bruner and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at the Central Methodist Church in Beaver Falls, Pa. at the convenience of the family with the Rev. David Alleman officiating. There will be no public viewing. Interment will be in the Beaver Falls Cemetery and Williamsburg Chippewa Chapel & Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be given in her name to the American Cancer Society Franklin Co.
