Emma C. Swope

Emma C. (Walck) Swope, age 83 of Greencastle, PA died on Friday, February 3, 2012 in the Waynesboro Hospital.

Born, September 17, 1928 in Franklin County, PA she was the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha (Cordell) Walck.

Emma retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot. She graduated from the Chambersburg High School.

Surviving family are one son, Robert E. Swope of Greencastle, PA and two brothers, Richard Walck and Franklin "Bud" Walck both of Greencastle, PA.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Walck, Glenn Walck, Ronald Walck and Jaye Walck and three sisters, Gladys Forney, Ruth Dawson and Miriam Overcash.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 South Carlisle St., Greencastle with Pastor Chris Renner officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
