Elizabeth A. Statler
Elizabeth Anna Statler, age 82 of Warm Spring Rd. St. Thomas, PA died at 5:55 PM, Friday October 18, 2013 in ManorCare Health Services Chambersburg where she had been a resident for nearly six years.
Born April 3, 1931 in Fort Loudon, PA, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Little and Grace Esther (Conner) Little.
She married Paul Richard “Pappy Dick” Statler Sr. on January 24, 1953 in Kentucky. Elizabeth had worked at the former Stanley Co. of Chambersburg, U- Wanna-Wash-Frocks, Ft. Loudon and last at Letterkenny Army Depot Chambersburg. She attended St. Thomas area schools.
She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Tabernacle in Williamson, PA.
Surviving family in addition to her husband are three sons Paul Richard Statler Jr. and wife Kathy, Rodney E. Statler and wife Susan, all of Greencastle, Randy W. Statler and wife Alice, Williamson, two daughters Donna D. Witter and husband Leon, Sandy D. Hissong and husband Ivan, all of Greencastle, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson Jonathan Witter, infant great-grandson Blake French and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 23 at 10:00 AM from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Reuben Egolf officiating. Burial will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 PM. Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Mt.
