Elizabeth “Sissy” Teeter Bonebrake, age 81 of Hagerstown , MD passed away Monday evening November 5, 2018 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown.

Born December 17, 1936 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jacob A. and Julia (Fletcher) Teeter.

She worked for nearly 25 years as an administrative secretary for the Washington County Commission on Aging. In her earlier life she worked at the former Fairchild Aircraft. Elizabeth was a 1954 graduate of Greencastle High School and attended the Hagerstown Medical Secretarial School.

She attended the St. Ann Catholic Church of Hagerstown. Elizabeth enjoyed playing bridge and being with her family and friends.

Surviving family are three daughters, Melissa Ann (Rick) Grimes of Thurmont, MD, Gretchen Zook (John) Radcliffe of Waynesboro, PA, Beth Anne Bonebrake of Oakland, MD; one son, Cary Lane Bonebrake of Smithsburg, MD; two grandchildren; one sister Julia Ann Teeter (Leo) Burke, Riner, VA and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday November 9 at 11:00 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Father Kyle Sahd officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Doey’s House C/O Hospice of Washington County, Inc. 747 Northern Ave. Hagerstown, MD 21742.
