Edward C. “Ted” Price, age 93 a resident of The Shook Home of Chambersburg and formerly of Waynesboro, PA died at 8:18 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in the Shook Home.
Born August 15, 1922 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence U. Sr. and Emma Belle (Fisher) Price. He married Dorothy W. “Dottie” (Walck) Price on March 5, 1948 in Greencastle. She died on July 17, 1997.
Ted was employed at the former Frick Co. of Waynesboro for 47 years retiring in 1987. He was a longtime member of the Faith United Methodist Church of Waynesboro. He was a 1940 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
He was a US Army veteran of World War II having served in Normandy and The Battle of the Bulge with the 175th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division. Ted continued his military service for numerous years in the Army Reserves.
His hobbies and interests included gardening, working in his yard and woodworking.
Surviving family are one son Edward C. Price Jr. and his wife Christine of Chambersburg.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Teresa Ann Price in 1951.
He was the last of his siblings and was also preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle with Pastor Mark Shover officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Faith United Methodist Church 104 N. Potomac St. Waynesboro, PA 17268.
