Eddie "Ed" R. Beatty, age 44 of 10641 Long Dr. Fannettsburg, Pa. died early Monday November 26, 2007 at his hunting cabin in Fannettsburg, Pa. from an apparent heart attack.
Born August 6, 1963 in Stuttgart Germany, he was the son of Ronald E. and Lula M. (Comp) Beatty of 11872 Mercersburg Rd. Greencastle, Pa.
Mr. Beatty was a machinist at Grove Worldwide now Manitowoc Crane Group in Shady Grove and also worked at JLG Industries in McConnellsburg. He was a 1981 graduate of the James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg. He was a member of the McConnellsburg V.F.W. and the Fraternal Order Of Eagles in Harrisonville, Pa. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his father and mother, surviving family are:
Sister, Rhonda L. Hykes of Greencastle and a brother Jerry C. Beatty of York, Pa.
Fiancee, Brenda Cheshire, McConnellsburg, Pa.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 29 at 4:00 P.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor Harold Yeager officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the American Heart Association Franklin/Fulton Chapter 225 E.
