Dorothy Jean Musselman, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother passed away on January 3, 2021 from complications of COVID into the arms of her Lord and Savior at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by first husband, Galen Hawbaker, second husband John Musselman , son Harold Hawbaker, grandson Ricky Hawbaker, brothers, Omar, Charles, Raymond, John, Nevin, Wayne, Marlin Murray; sisters Nellie Bingaman and Doris Lesher. She is survived by son, Ronald Hawbaker (Carol); daughters, Carole Burrows (David), Gladys Rodriguez (Louis); sisters, Betty Long, and Shirley Frain; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 6 step-children, Glen Musselman, Carol Sollenberger (Roy), Harold Musselman (Sarah), Mary Meyers (Gary), Alice Witt (Herman), Ruth Ebersole; 15 step-grandchildren, many step-great and great-great grandchildren.
She loved her blended family and was always ready to open her home and heart to them, as well as anyone who needed a place to lay their head. She will greatly be missed by all, more than words can say and we, who are fortunate to have known her, will have wonderful memories of her presence in our lives. She will also be greatly missed by her beloved dog, Missy.
Dorothy Jean was a member of the Greencastle Foursquare Church for over 65 years and was always ready to help with the many events that honored her Lord and Savior. She was a prayer warrior and passed on words of wisdom and encouragement to many people from her years of experience of walking with God.
A viewing for the family will be held at Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home in Greencastle, PA on Friday, January 15th. Interment, with graveside service for family, will occur immediately after the viewing at Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle with Pastor Harry Miller officiating. Masks and social distancing will be required.
