Doris M. Myers

Doris M. Myers, age 78, of Chambersburg, PA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Quincy Nursing Home. Born in Chambersburg, PA on September 13, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ruth Bingaman Carbaugh.

Mrs. Myers was a 1965 graduate of James Buchanan High School. She went on to work at the former Stanley Company in Chambersburg and then to a 30 plus year career working for Alice’s Cottage in Hagerstown, MD. Mrs. Myers enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting, gospel music, and NASCAR, however her most cherished time was spent with family. She especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband 60 years, Walter C. Myers, whom she married in 1965; two sons, Michael D. Myers (wife Michelle) of Greencastle, PA and Jason E. Myers (wife Amanda) of St. Thomas, PA; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Myers; two sisters, Janet Christophel and Norma Throckmorton.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 11 AM at Living Word Community Church, 3845 Buchanan Trail W., Greencastle, PA 17225, where Pastor Steve Fretz will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service in the above church and address. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M.
