Doris Marie (Lam) Goetz

Doris Marie (Lam) Goetz, age 86, a resident of the Williamsport Retirement Village of Williamsport, MD and formerly of Catherine St. Greencastle, PA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD.

Born September 19, 1930 in Martinsburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Millard and Zada Marie (Shifflett) Lam. She married Lloyd E. Goetz on November 19, 1948.

Doris was employed at the former Corning Glass Works in Greencastle. She attended the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Martinsburg, WV and was a former member of the Izsaak Walton League, Berkeley County, WV Chapter. She enjoyed cooking and baking.

Surviving family in addition to her husband of 68 years are two daughters, Beverly D. Crawford   of Bunker Hill, WV, Nancy Moser of Greencastle, PA, four sisters, Lois L. Marcum, Jarrettsville, MD, Phyllis G. Dovel, Harrisonburg, VA, B. Jean Phillips, Boonsboro, MD, Judy A. Woodward, Inwood, WV, three brothers, Larry A. Lam of Martinsburg, WV, Gary W. Lam, Elderton, PA, Stephen G. Lam of Martinsburg WV, three grandchildren, Richard S. Crawford, Travis Goetz, Derrick J. Crawford and wife Jennifer,  three great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jaden and Jared Crawford, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister M. Lucille Ridenour Heestand.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, PA with Rev. Charles W. Donivan officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Greencastle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church 36 Laing Dr. Martinsburg, WV 25404.
