Donna F. (Pentz) Kerlin, age 70 of 3783 Buchanan Trail West Greencastle, Pa. died at 9:00 P.M. Wednesday July 18, 2007 in the Waynesboro Hospital after a four year courageous battle with cancer.
Born January 23, 1937 in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Edgar Ellsworth "Sam" and Gertrude Arlean (Shatzer) Pentz.
She was currently employed as a school bus driver for the Greencastle-Antrim School District having driven nearly 20 years. She also was a homemaker and had worked at the former Windsor Shoe Co. of Greencastle.
Mrs. Kerlin was a member of the Calvary Bible Church and the Macedonia United Brethren Church both of Greencastle. She was a long time Girl Scout committee mother and a Brownie leader. She also was a member of the Mercersburg Moose, National A.A.R.P. and served as a volunteer for over 20 years for the Greencastle PTA.
Mrs. Kerlin enjoyed reading to her grandchildren, spending time with her family, quilting, sewing and playing cards.
She and her husband, Blaine A. Kerlin were married September 11, 1959. He died on February 6, 1998.
Surviving family are:
One son, G. Dennis Kerlin of Greencastle, Pa. three daughters, Kimberly Siner and Diane L. Kerlin both of Greencastle, Pa. and Jodi K. Kerlin of Frederick, Md.
Three brothers, James Pentz of Williamson, Pa., Joe Pentz of Chambersburg, Pa. and Robert Pentz of Mercersburg, Pa.
Four sisters, Mary Lawson of New Jersey, Jane Kesselring and Susie Dodson both of Greencastle and Joyce Hykes of Williamson, Pa.
Five Grandchildren
Funeral services will be held on Monday July 23 at 2:00 P.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, Pa. with Revs. Glen A. Miller and Gayle L. Ruble Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 - 8 P.M.
