Donald Hoye Martin, age 92 a resident of the Mennonite Fellowship Home 12349 Huyett Lane Hagerstown, MD died at 7:15 A.M. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in the home.
Born November 11, 1919 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late J. Ira and Lydia (Martin) Martin.
Mr. Martin was the founder of Paramount Feed and Supply of Hagerstown. He and his wife Esther M. (Diller) Martin were married February 6, 1941. She died on March 26, 2008.
Surviving family are one son Darrel R. Martin, Hagerstown, two daughters Darlene F. Horst and Lois S. Horst, both of Hagerstown, one sister Lois Eshleman of Landis Homes, Lancaster, PA, twelve grandchildren and fifty great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers Lawrence Martin, Aldus Martin, Clair Martin and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 17 at 10:00 A.M. from the Reiff Mennonite Church near Cearfoss with the Reiff Mennonite Church Ministry officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. and one hour before the service on Tuesday. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle.
