Donald E. Kalbflesh, age 84, of Chambersburg, PA died Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 3:41 P.M. in the Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.
Born October 13, 1922 in Hagerstown, MD he was the son of the late Earl F. and Aleatha J. (Barnhart) Kalbflesh.
He was the husband of Frances Virginia (Shank) Grimes Kalbflesh of Chambersburg, PA.
Mr. Kalbflesh retired from the former Fairchild Aircraft of Hagerstown, MD where he worked as an inspector. He later owned and operated ABC Electronics in his Chambersburg home.
He attended the Ebenezer "Guitners" United Brethren Church of Greencastle. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He was a member of the Chambersburg American Legion Post #46. He was a graduate of Hagerstown High School.
Mr. Kalbflesh was the last of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Hafer.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 18th at 11:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA with Pastor Eric Beck officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Marion Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 68, Marion, PA 17235. Online condolences can be expressed at www.zimmermanfh.com
