Dolorene "Dolly" (Myers) Meyers

Dolerene E.C. “Dolly” Meyers, age 94, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at Paramount Senior Living on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Born January 25, 1929, in Franklin County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lauren E. and Velda May Pearl Hicks Myers.

Mrs. Meyers was a 1947 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School. She worked as a homemaker, focusing on caring for her family. Mrs. Meyers was a member of Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church, where she participated in church functions, the Women’s Class, and taught Sunday School.

Surviving are four children, Garry W. Meyers of AR; Daryl I. Meyers of Chambersburg, PA; Keith J. Meyers (Vonda) of TX; and Diane M. McMichael (Greg) of Lancaster, PA, eight grandchildren,  eleven great-grandchildren, and two siblings, Lauren Myers, Jr. (Pat) of Marion, PA and Robert Myers of Quincy, PA. In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 71 years, John D. Meyers in 2019 and three siblings, Othelia Barnhart, Yvonne Zeger, and Donald Myers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 10 AM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA, where Rev. Ron Cook will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 6 – 8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church.
