Delores A. Starliper

Delores A. Starliper, age 81, of Greencastle, PA passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Mercy House. Born October 5, 1942, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Bertha W. Keller Helm.

Delores was a 1960 graduate of the Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School. She worked as a custodian and a cook at the Greencastle VFW for 40 years, retiring in 2013. She enjoyed bowling, reading, going on family vacations to Wildwood, NJ, and above all, she treasured the moments spent with her family. 

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa (the late Bill) Fratrick of Greencastle, PA and Denise (Steve) Helman of Greencastle, PA; four grandchildren, Chelsey (Matt) Timmons of Greencastle, PA, Eric Fratrick (Hanna) of Greencastle, PA, Erin Helman (Ashton) of Spring Run, PA, and Reid Helman of Greencastle, PA; three great-grandchildren, Caiden, Jase, Colt; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond (Buddy) S. Starliper in 1991 and two sisters, Charlotte Kugler and Carolyn Wishard.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 11 AM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA 17225, where Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Mercy House, 730 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to Franklin Hospice, 209 Grant St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
