Mrs. Delores Ann High Lapole, 72, of Chambersburg, died early Tuesday afternoon, May 20, 2014, at Falling Springs Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg. She was the wife of the late Raymond Leon Lapole who preceded her in death on January 4, 2013.
Born November 14, 1941, in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Shull Paul and Catherine Mae Meyers High.
Mrs. Lapole worked for many years at The Stanley Company, Chambersburg, retiring in 1997.
She was a member of Loyal Order of Moose, No. 1191, Waynesboro; and Frank L. Carbaugh, Post 373, American Legion, Greencastle.
Surviving is her daughter Angela K. Baer and husband Gary Dean of Chambersburg; grandchildren, Shaun Baer and wife Brandi of Florida, and Alicia Baer Eby and husband Justin of Chambersburg; and great grandchildren Jolene Baer of Florida and Cheyenne Eby of Chambersburg; as well as sisters, Ruby Shank and husband Gerald of Chambersburg, Janice “Jenny” Ensminger and husband Dean Baer and Dorothy “Dottie” Richmond and husband Dave, all of Chambersburg; her sister-in-law, Melanie High of Waynesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Delores was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Eugene High, in 2009.
The Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, is handling the arrangements. There will not be visiting at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 23, at 11:00 AM, at Parklawns Memorial Park, Chambersburg, with Rev. Randall H. Zeiler officiating. Family and friends attending can congregate just inside the cemetery. A procession to the gravesite will occur just prior to 11:00 AM.
