Darlene F. Eberly, age 67 of Homestead Dr. Greencastle, PA went to be with her Lord on Tuesday morning July 8, 2014 in the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 27, 1947 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of Charles E. and V. Elizabeth (Haldeman) Stahl, both residents of Menno Haven in Chambersburg. She married Robert E. Eberly on May 3, 1964  in the Montgomery Brethren In Christ Church near Mercersburg.

Darlene worked as the office manager for the Eberly real estate rentals. She was a member of the Otterbein United Brethren Church of Greencastle.
She and her husband did missions work with the United Brethren Church for 3 years in Sierra Leone Africa. Along with her husband, she co-founded Here’s Hope Ministries and started a foster care home for children in Belize, Central America in 2005 called Hosanna House.
Darlene enjoyed being with her family, cooking and sewing.

Surviving family in addition to her husband of 50 years are two daughters Brenda K. Moore and her husband Christopher of Roanoke, IN, Deborah A. Ramer and husband Brian of Greencastle, two grandchildren, Rachel Moore and Loren Ramer and one brother R. Eugene Stahl of Greencastle.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Katrina Sue Eberly in 1967.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12 at 10:00 AM from the Otterbein United Brethren Church 146 Leitersburg St. Greencastle with Rev. David G. Rawley and Rev. Leroy Eberly officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 – 8 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Here’s Hope Ministries P.O Box 323 Greencastle, PA 17225. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanfh.com
