Dale Marshal Ott, age 51 of Antrim Church Rd. Greencastle, Pa. went to be with his Lord on Wednesday evening November 28, 2007 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

He was the son of Roy M. and Elena M. (Sipes) Ott of Greencastle.

Dale was employed by Tyco Electronics, working at the East Berlin Pa. plant and most recently at the Waynesboro plant. A 1974 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School, he completed his Journeyman Machinist Apprenticeship while employed at Teledyne Landis Machine Co. in Waynesboro. He also was employed by the former Fairchild Republic Company.

He was a member of the Antrim Brethren In Christ Church near Chambersburg, where he served as an usher and choir member. Dale was also a member of the Mercersburg Sportsman Association, the Cumberland Valley Antique Engine Association and the Chambersburg Beagle Club. As a hobby, he did small engine repair, collected antique gasoline hit and miss motors and enjoyed hunting.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Ellen G. (Etter) Ott, whom he married on September 25, 1976 in Greencastle, one daughter, Melissa E. (wife of Darell K. Jr. ) Grove and a son Jonathon D. (Husband of Melanie A. Flenner) Ott, both of St. Thomas, Pa., one granddaughter Raya F. Grove and one step-granddaughter Deanna H. Grove, both of St. Thomas, Pa.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Marlin R. Ott in December 2005.

Funeral services will be held on Monday morning December 3 at 11:00 A.M. from the Antrim Brethren In Christ Church 24 East Kauffman Rd. Chambersburg, Pa. with Pastor Ky R. Searcy officiating. Burial will be in the Browns Mill Cemetery Kauffman. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2 - 5 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Monday. Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to his church or any organization that Dale belonged to.
