Cynthia Michele (Rametta) Ball

Cynthia Michele “Cindy” Ball, age 67 of Greencastle, PA passed away at 10:12 AM Thursday, November 5, 2015 in her home.

Born March 29, 1948 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Spagnola) Rametta. She married Brent T. Ball on September 15, 1979.

Cindy worked as a paraprofessional at the Greencastle-Antrim Elementary School for 23 years.
She had attended   the Otterbein United Brethren Church of Greencastle for 18 years where she served on the library committee and assisted with the children programs. She last attended church at the Hollowell Brethren In Christ Church near Waynesboro.
Cindy loved serving the Lord, loved being with her family, enjoyed her job and helping the school children.

Cindy was a graduate of Kiski Area High School in Vandergrift, PA and she also graduated from a  Pittsburgh area Business School.

Surviving family in addition to her husband are one son Michael Ball and his wife Christen of Nashville, TN, one daughter Rachel Hyne and husband Owen of Schwenksville, PA, one grandson Eli Marshall Hyne , three sisters. Rosalie Zidek of Apollo, PA, Rita Rametta and Patricia Rametta, both of Vandergrift, PA and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Monday November 9 at 11:00 AM at the Otterbein United Brethren Church 146 Leitersburg St. Greencastle with Rev. David Rawley officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Compassion International Inc. 12290 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80921-3668 or at www.compassion.com.
