Curtis E. Statler, age 45 of Creekstone Dr. Mont Alto, PA died at 9:15 PM Saturday, July 12, 2014 in his home following a short illness.
Born July 16, 1968 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of Nancy L. (McCulloh) Statler of Greencastle and the late Richard E. “Dick” Statler. Curtis was employed for 20 years at Johnson Controls (Frick Co.) Waynesboro as a machinist. He attended Greencastle- Antrim High School.
He was a member of the Eagles Club, Moose Lodge #1191 and the FOE, all of Waynesboro. He also was a social member of the Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post #373 and the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post # 6319, both of Greencastle.
Curtis enjoyed hunting, watching NASCAR and mushroom hunting .
Surviving family in addition to his mother are one daughter Cristen Nicole Statler of Mont Alto, girlfriend Shirley Carbaugh of Mont Alto, two brothers Kevin L. Statler of Greencastle and Douglas McCulloh of Mercersburg.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday evening July 17 at 7:00 PM from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor Andy Ficks officiating.
