Claude William Little, age 86 a resident of Providence Place, Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Clifton Heights, PA passed into eternal rest after a brief illness at 2:55 A.M. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 in Providence Place.
Born, June 18,1924 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William and Alice E. (Voorhees) Little.
He was employed as a Rules Examiner/Labor Relations for the Pennsylvania Railroad/Penn Central/Conrail for 49 years retiring in 1990.
Mr. Little was a World War II Veteran serving in the Army as a Military Police Officer. He was a member of the Friends of the Strasburg Railroad Museum and the Pennsylvania Railroad Technical and Historical Society.
Surviving family are Son, William Little and wife Susan of Greencastle, PA; Daughter, Nancy Ann Little Slauson and husband Robert of Halcottsville, NY; Son, Robert T. Little and wife Melanie of Port Ewen, NY; First Cousin, Olive Cleary of Flemington, NJ; six Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Costello) Little in 1963.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Home Care & Hospice, 2700 Luther Dr., Chambersburg, PA 17202. Arrangements are being handled by the Harold M.
