Charlotte B. (Helm) Kugler, age 84, formerly of South Allison St. Greencastle, PA died at 6:55 AM Thursday, April 14, 2016 in The Shook Home of Chambersburg where she had resided for the past several years.
Born November 22, 1931 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bertha (Keller) Helm. She married Jack E. Kugler on July 29, 1952. He died on October 2, 1987.
Charlotte was a homemaker and had also worked at the former Colonial Flower Shop of Greencastle. She was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ of Greencastle and was a member of the of the Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post #373 Ladies Auxiliary of Greencastle. Charlotte was a 1949 graduate of Greencastle High School. She enjoyed playing cards with her card club of 50 years and loved her dog Roscoe.
Surviving family are one son Mike Kugler of Chambersburg, two daughters, Michelle K. Harness and husband E. Michael of Waterford, MI, Danielle H. Ronzo and husband John of Greencastle, five grandchildren, Lindsay, Andrew, Paige, Jack Logan, Molly, two great-grandchildren and one sister Delores Starliper of Greencastle.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Wishard in 2004.
Funeral services will be held on Monday April 18 at 11:00 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor Narda Druckenmiller officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. There will be no public viewing but the family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Antietam Humane Society 8513 Lyons Rd. Waynesboro, PA 17268. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanfh.com.
