Charles W. Sacco Sr.
Charles Wood “Chuck” Sacco Sr., age 80, of Greencastle, died on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at the Julia Manor Health Care Center in Hagerstown, MD , where he had been a resident for the past several months.
Born October 17, 1935, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Peter and Josephine (Wood) Sacco. He retired in 1990 from the Columbia Gas Co. where he had served as a manager in the Greencastle and Hagerstown offices. Following his retirement he worked part time delivering trucks for the Jerr-Dan Corporation.
Chuck graduated from Robert Morris Business College in Pittsburgh and served in the US Army Reserves. He was of the Catholic faith and he volunteered as a Fire Police for the Greencastle Rescue Hose Co.
Surviving family are his wife of 57 years Prudence I. (Fleming) Sacco, three daughters Deborah Highlands and husband Terry, Kimberly Nemit and husband Paul, Christina Farah, one son, Charles W. Sacco Jr., six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
