Charles W. Kauffman

Charles W. Kauffman, age 57 of Mercersburg, PA, died at 2:20 P.M. on Thursday, June 24, 2010 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born, May 10, 1953 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Charles J. Kauffman and Nellie Grace (Carbaugh) Kauffman of Marion, PA.

He and his wife, Mary V. (Myers) Kauffman were married on October 31, 1973 in Hagerstown, MD.

He was currently employed at Miller Auto Parts in Greencastle. Mr. Kauffman was a member of the Clarence Armstrong VFW Post 6241 and the Harry Lackhove American Legion Post 517 both of Mercersburg. He enjoyed his grandchildren, working on old time race cars and was a NASCAR fan.

Surviving family in addition to his wife and mother are, daughters, Cathy M. (Husband Chip) Feldman, Upton, PA and Mary Ann (Husband Travis) Reed, Greencastle, PA; grandchildren, Colton, Coralei, Conner and Emma; sisters, Janet Weyant and Ann Keown; and brother, Roger Kauffman. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

A viewing will be held on Monday evening, June 28, 2010 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, Greencastle. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.zimmermanfh.com
