Charles Robert "Bob" Gayman, age 68 of Dickinson Ave. Waynesboro and formerly of Molly Pitcher Hwy. South Greencastle died at 8:58 P.M. Friday, August 16, 2013 in his home.
Born September 20, 1944 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Charles C. and Gladys Irene (Burger) Gayman.
He retired in 1999 from Corning Glass of Greencastle where he had worked in shipping. Bob was a 1962 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School and had served in the Pennsylvania National Guard. Bob enjoyed watching stock car racing.
Surviving family are two sisters Karen Grosh and husband Lenny of West Bend Wisconsin, Mary K. Ehrhart and husband Randy of Greencastle, three brothers Fred B. Gayman and wife Sylvia of Waynesboro, Floyd B. Gayman and wife Barb of Greencastle, Lynn B. Gayman and wife Susan of Greencastle and a number of nieces and nephews.
It was his request to donate his body for medical research at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. There will be no public services. In his memory, memorial contributions can be made to the Lutheran Home Care and Hospice 2700 Luther Dr. Chambersburg, PA 17202 or to Antietam Humane Society 8513 Lyons Rd. Waynesboro, PA 17268.
