Calvin "Glenn" Daugherty

Calvin “Glenn” Daugherty, age 79, of Greencastle, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening, August 11, 2022, at his home. Born February 15, 1943, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary Byers Daugherty.

Glenn and his late wife owned and operated Darview Farms.  Glenn enjoyed farming, driving tractors, and supporting youth interested in agriculture. He was a member of the James Buchanan Class of 1961, the Pennsylvania Holstein Association and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.

Surviving is his son, Michael G. Daugherty (Paula Andrews) of Greencastle, PA; grandchildren, Blake Witter, Contessa Crider, Levi Crider, and Brylee Andrews; two siblings, Ruby Carbaugh (Henry) of Greencastle, PA and Charles Daugherty (Deb) of Greencastle, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Dolores J. Daugherty in 2021.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 11 AM at the Montgomery Brethren In Christ Church, 6727 Montgomery Church Rd. Mercersburg with Pastors Japheth Nell and Raymond Martin officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing at the above church on Friday, August 19 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Franklin County Youth Dairy Club, 2879 Mercersburg Rd., St. Thomas, PA 17252.
