Brenda K. (Myers) Witmer, age 48 of Greencastle, PA died at 1:23 PM on Monday, September 14, 2009 at her home following a long illness.
Born June 30, 1961 in Waynesboro, PA she is the daughter of the late Ray C. Myers Sr. and Dorothy V. (Daley) Myers of Greencastle, PA.
She and her husband Bobby Witmer were married May 11, 1980 in Greencastle, PA.
She was employed at the former McCoys in Mercersburg, PA and later worked as a machine operator doing embroidery at BJ''s Custom Creations in Hagerstown, MD. She was a 1980 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School.
She loved to be outdoors, going camping, and riding motorcycles. She also enjoyed collecting pens.
Surviving family in addition to her husband and mother are, two daughters, Jessie J. (wife of Eric) Jones of Hagerstown, MD, Chrissy "Bug" Witmer of Greencastle, PA; one son Bobby Paul Witmer of Greencastle, PA; one brother Ray C. (husband of Wendy) Myers Jr. of Greencastle, PA; sisters, Lucy J. (wife of Larry) Witmer,Mary (wife of Chuck) Kauffman both of Mercersburg, PA, Patricia A. (wife of Bill) Jones of North Richland Hills, TX; two grandchildren, Owen & Bailey; father-in-law, Robert D. Witmer Sr. and mother-in-law Mary J. Witmer of Greencastle, PA. She was preceded in death by a niece, Heather Witmer.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18th at 10 AM from the Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle with Rev. Stacy A. Crawford officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
