Ms. Brenda Sue Gearhart Wilhide, 51, of Shady Grove, died early Thursday afternoon, March 7, at Hershey Medical Center.

Born February 21, 1962, at Waynesboro Hospital, she was the daughter of Robert L. and Grace R. Seylar Gearhart. She was a 1980 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School and attended Bloomsburg University and Hagerstown Community College.

She worked for R R. Donnelley, Inc., Thurmont, as a graphic artist and designer; and was a member of the "REC Club", a recreational group of her colleagues and co-workers.

Brenda was member of Grace United Church of Christ, Greencastle, where she also participated with the "Encouraging Words For Women" Group.

Ms. Wilhide''s work also effected her hobbies as she enjoyed art and drawing; as well as computers. Her other interest included cooking, traveling, and fly fishing at the family cabin.

Surviving besides her parents, is her son Christopher Ryan Wilhide of Smithsburg; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home, 45 South Carlisle Street, Greencastle, on Monday, March 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 12, at 10:00 AM. Her pastor, Rev. James E. Hughes, will officiate. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Church of Christ, 128 East Baltimore Street, Greencastle, Pennsylvania 17225; or the to American Diabetes Association, 5020 Ritter Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
