Betty L. Stone, age 64, of Burkett Rd., P.O. Box 401, Greencastle, PA died at 10:17 A.M. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in Manor Care Health Services, Chambersburg, PA. She had been failing in health for the past six weeks.

Born November 14, 1944 in Greencastle, PA she was the daughter of the late Stanley R. Daley and Nellie I. (McCormick) Daley of Greencastle, PA.

She and her husband, Donald E. Stone were married May 16, 1968 in Hagerstown, MD.

Mrs. Stone retired from Foremost Industries of Greencastle, PA were she worked as a sales representative. She previously was the co-owner of the former Hillcrest Restaurant in Greencastle.

She was a member of the Ebenezer "Guitners" United Brethren Church where she played the organ for 13 years. She enjoyed playing the organ and piano and bowling. She was very creative, enjoying gardening and home improvement projects.

Surviving family in addition to her husband and mother are; Two sisters, Barbara Barnes of Chambersburg, PA and Bonney Working of Waynesboro, PA. Four brothers, Richard S. Daley, Arvard Daley, Tommy Daley all of Greencastle, PA and Paul Daley of Madison, SD and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Hamilton Daley and Billy Joe Daley.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 14, 2009 from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle with Revs. Gayle L. Ruble Sr. and Richard Mose officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Ebenezer United Brethren Church, 3661 Williamson Rd., Greencastle, PA 17225 or to the Antietam Humane Society, 8513 Lyons Rd., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
