Betty J. Myers

Betty J. Myers, age 81 of 12299 Malissa Dr., Greencastle, PA went to be with the Lord at 7:35 A.M. on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in the Waynesboro Hospital. She had been declining in health since January.

Born May 7, 1927 in Hagerstown, MD she was the daughter of the late John William and Mae Irene (Borne) Johnson.

Her husband, Charles M. Myers died on April 30, 1984.

Mrs. Myers retired after 31 and a half years of employment with the former Corning Glass of Greencastle, PA. She was a life member of the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319 Ladies Auxiliary of Greencastle. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, loved flowers and gardening.

Surviving family are; Four daughters, Barbara E. Schroyer of Waynesboro, PA, Carol E. Morgan, Pamela M. Scott and Shirley L. Freshman all of Greencastle, PA. Two sisters, one brother-in-law, three sisters-in-law, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle with Rev. Jeffrey A. Ehko officiating. Burial will be in the Macedonia United Brethren Church Cemetery, Greencastle. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home where the Greencastle V.F.W.
