Mrs. Bessie Genevieve Bingaman Gish, 96, of Greencastle, died Monday morning, July 9, 2012, at Manor Care Health Services, Chambersburg. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Gish.
Born September 10, 1915, in the Martins Mill Covered Bridge Farmhouse, Antrim Township, Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Oliver W. and Bessie May Hershberger Bingaman.
Mrs. Gish was a member of Two Top Fellowship Church, Mercersburg.
She is survived by her by daughters, Angela College and husband Harvey of Greencastle, and Doris Smith and husband Fred of Wichita Falls, Texas; as well as twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren.
She is the last of her immediate family. Besides her second husband Albert, she was preceded in death by her first husband George O. Binkley; by two sons George Robert and Billy Lee Binkley; her great grandson; as well as two brothers and three sisters.
The Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, is handling the arrangements. The will not be visiting at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Thursday morning, July 12, 10:00 AM, at Broadfording Brethren Church Cemetery, Broadfording Church Road, Hagerstown. Her pastor, Rev. Paul A. Martin, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Two Top Fellowship Church, 13743 Fort Loudon Road, Mercersburg, Pennsylvania 17236; or to Broadfording Church of the Brethren, 14010 Greencastle Pike, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.
