Bertha C. (Negley) Kenepp, age 86 of Menno Haven Chambersburg and formerly of Marion, PA died at 8:00 AM Monday, February 8, 2016 at Menno Haven.

Born December 1, 1929 in Peters Twp., Franklin County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence H. and Rhoda (Graybil) Negley. She married Marlin S. Kenepp on June 13, 1953. He died on February 8, 2012.
Bertha worked at the former Stanley Co. in Chambersburg. She was a former member of the Church of the Brethren where she served as a Sunday School teacher in the primary class. She also was a volunteer with the Release Time Bible program and helped as an aide in the Shalom School library

Bertha was a former member of the Chambersburg Christian Women’s Club and a member of the Art Club of Chambersburg where she did oil painting. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and were able to travel to every state in the Union except Hawaii and also traveled extensively through western Europe and Nova Scotia. She was a 1947 graduate of Lemasters High School.

Surviving family are one sister Naomi Hunsberger of St. Thomas, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers David Negley, John Negley, Clarence Negley Jr., Paul Negley, four sisters, Elizabeth Negley, Rhoda Gayman, Ruth Haldeman and Dorcas Sharar.

Funeral services will be held on Friday February 12 at 10:30 AM at the Upton Church of the Brethren 8490 Warm Spring Rd. Greencastle with Minister David Shank officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may given in her memory to Camp Joy El Release Time Bible Program 3741 Joy El Dr. Greencastle, PA 17225.
