Beatrice A. (Park) Carson, age 89 a resident of NMS Healthcare of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Worleytown Rd. Greencastle, PA died at 10:30 PM Saturday, February 6, 2016 in the nursing center.

Born April 14, 1926 in Mapleton Depot, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Florence (Miller) Park. She married Herbert R. Carson on August 1, 1953. He died on September 10, 1999.
She retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg in March 1982. Beatrice was a member of the Macedonia United Brethren Church near Greencastle and in her earlier years was a member of the Amaranth Church of the Brethren of Warfordsburg, PA.

Beatrice had attended the Greencastle Senior Center and enjoyed quilting, needlework and sewing. She was 1945 graduate of Saltillo High School and a 1946 graduate of Huntingdon Secretarial School.

Surviving family are one son David R. Carson and wife Lucille of Greencastle, one daughter Dena M. Carson of Chambersburg, one granddaughter, Kendra R. Carson of Greencastle, one sister Peggy Waite of Saltillo, PA, two brothers Jesse Park of Mapleton Depot, PA, Robert Park of Doylesburg, PA and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Judy M. Carson, three sisters, Betty Stever, Helen Glunt, Mary Querry, four brothers, Paul Park, Edwin Park, Maurice Park and William Park.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 11 at 10:00 AM at the Macedonia United Brethren Church 11887 Worleytown Rd. Greencastle with Rev. Milton Herrold Jr. and Rev. Gayle Ruble Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the Amaranth Church of the Brethren Cemetery of Warfordsburg, PA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Thursday. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be given to the Macedonia United Brethren Church Building Fund 11887 Worleytown Rd. Greencastle, PA 17225 or to the Hospice of Washington County 747 Northern Ave. Hagerstown, MD 27142. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.zimmermanfh.com
