Audrey L. Martin, age 83 of Timothy Dr. Greencastle, PA died at 2:32 P.M. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in the Coffman Nursing Home of Hagerstown where she has been a resident for the past seven years.
Born February 17, 1929 in Warrenton, VA, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Cora (Strickler) Miller.
She and her husband, Robert L. Martin were married in 1946.
Audrey retired from Corning Glass Works of Greencastle. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Mennonite Church of Greencastle and was a 1946 graduate of Greencastle High School.
Surviving family in addition to her husband are three daughters Linda Altizer-McElroy Hagerstown, MD, Shirley George, Waynesboro, PA, Pamela Frushour, Smithsburg, MD, two sons Robert L. Martin, Waynesboro, PA and Ronald E. Martin, Greencastle, PA, ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday June 4 at 10:30 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastors Steve Fretz and Chad Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Mennonite Church Cemetery near Greencastle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Coffman Nursing Home 1304 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown, MD 21742.
