Audrey J. Elway, age 70, a resident of The Village of Laurel Run, Fayetteville, PA and formerly of Greencastle, PA died at 3:10 P.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2007 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born, April 2, 1937 in Altoona, PA she was the daughter of the late Ernest Forshey and Elizabeth (Barrett) Forshey of Altoona, PA.
She and her husband, Harold L. "Bud" Elway were married June 17, 1955 in Altoona. He died January 8, 2006.
Mrs. Elway was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hagerstown Grace Brethren Church where she helped for many years with the cradle roll and the bus ministry. She enjoyed ceramics. She was a graduate of the Bellwood Antis High School, Bellwood, PA.
Surviving family in addition to her mother are:
Two daughters, Debbie Sue (Wife of Ernest) Hewitt of Altoona, PA and Betty J. (Wife of Scott) Kephart of Greencastle, PA.
One Grandson, Ernie Hewitt, Jr. of Altoona, PA
Seven Brothers, Dean Forshey, Robert Forshey, James Forshey, Richard Forshey, Harold Forshey, and Gary Forshey all of Altoona, PA and Ernest Forshey of Honey Brook, PA.
Three Sisters, Shirley Teeter of Altoona, PA, Sally Hostler of Blandon, PA and Betty Jane Hostler of Rock River, Wyo.
Several Nieces and Nephews
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jackie Forshey.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA with Pastors Paul Hutchison and Jeff Dunkle officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-5 P.M. and one hour prior to the services on Monday.
