Annie Virginia (Boppe) McLucas, age 94 formerly of Welsh Run PA. died at 11:00 A.M. Saturday September 29, 2012 in the Falling Spring Nursing And Rehabilitation Center in Chambersburg, PA. where she had been a resident for over two years.
Born April 6, 1918 in Washington County Maryland near Huyetts, she was the daughter of the late Martin L. and Amelia Virginia (Jacobs) Boppe.
She was a seamstress having worked at the former Interwoven Stocking Co. Hagerstown for 9 years and last worked at the former Stanley Co. Chambersburg for 33 � years.
She and her husband Russell Leroy "Dude" McLucas were married December 24, 1941. He died on July 10, 2003.
Annie was a member of the St. John''s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mercersburg. She enjoyed gardening and being a homemaker.
Surviving family are one daughter Bertha R. (Mrs. Kenneth) Faith, Clear Spring, MD, one sister Pearl Rowe, resident of the Fahrney-Keedy Home, Boonsboro, MD, one grandson Ronald (wife Sarah) Faith, Clear Spring, MD, one granddaughter Katrina Faith, Clear Spring, MD, and four great-grandchildren Naomi, Joshua, Keyana and Karyssa.
She was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Weist, Lula Murphy and two brothers David Boppe and Marty Boppe.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning October 3 at 10:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle PA. with her grandson Pastor Ronald Faith officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery Fairview, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Mt.
