Anna G. (Hoffman) Oberholzer, age 93, a resident of the Quincy Retirement Village and formerly of 730 S. Allison St. Greencastle, Pa. died at 1:12 P.M. Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in the nursing home.
Born July 24, 1915 in Hagerstown, Md. she was the daughter of the late William F. and Lena N. (Lear) Hoffman.
She was a homemaker and had worked in the medical office of the late Dr. William Guenon of Greencastle.
Mrs. Oberholzer was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greencastle where she taught Sunday School and played the piano. She was a 1933 graduate of Greencastle High School. Anna enjoyed crocheting and making afghans.
She and her husband, Elam H. Oberholzer were married in January 1938. He died on October 20, 1989.
Surviving family are one son Elam G. (Husband of Bonnie) Oberholzer, Greencastle, granddaughter, Seana Jones, Ashville, N.C., grandson, Elam Scott Oberholzer, Greencastle, four great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers Charles Hoffman and George Hoffman.
Funeral services will be held on Monday July 27 at 11:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Martin H. Horn officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 - 7:30 P.M.
