Anna M. Strausner Moser, age 84 and a resident of the Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care Unit in McConnellsburg, PA. and formerly of South Carl Ave. Greencastle, PA. died at 11:15 P.M. Monday February 14, 2011 in the nursing center.
Born September 8, 1926 near Williamson, PA., she was the daughter of the late Roy and Martha (Skiles) Barnhart.
She had worked at the former GEM Garment Co. of Greencastle, Mercersburg Dress Factory and at St. Paul''s Day Care Center of Chambersburg.
Anna was a member of the Macedonia United Brethren Church near Greencastle. She attended Greencastle High School and enjoyed sewing and making quilts.
Surviving family are one son Paul and wife Diane Strausner Jr. of Greencastle, one daughter Margaret and husband Raymond Seville, McConnellsburg, PA., one brother Blaine Barnhart, Greencastle, one step-son, Woodrow Moser Jr., Greencastle, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Paul Strausner Sr., second husband Woodrow Moser Sr., a daughter Linda Strausner, two brothers, three sisters, step-son Wayne Moser and a step-daughter Saundra Alleman.
Funeral services will be held on Friday morning February 18 at 11:00 A.M. from the Macedonia United Brethren Church near Greencastle with Rev. Gayle Ruble Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle on Thursday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. and at the church one hour before the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the building fund of Macedonia United Brethren Church 11887 Worleytown Rd. Greencastle, PA. 17225.
