Amos H. Hege, age 82 of Molly Pitcher Hwy. Greencastle passed in his home on the afternoon of  Friday, February 13, 2015 to go to be with his Lord. He had been in declining health the past several months.

Born October 28, 1932 in Maugansville, Maryland, he was the son of the late Amos S. and Amanda (Horst) Hege. He married Louise (Young) Hege on June 26, 1954 in the old Antrim Brethren In Christ Church near Greencastle.
He was the owner and operator, along with his family, of Cross Roads Farm Dairy. He was a farmer his entire life until his retirement in 1999.

Amos was a faithful member of the Antrim Brethren In Christ Church, former member of the Kauffman Ruritan Club and served for 20 years on the Antrim Twp. Planning and Zoning Board.

Surviving family in addition to his wife of 60 years are one son Larry and wife Patricia (Martin) Hege of Greencastle, one daughter Cheryl and husband Dwight Thrush of Chambersburg, five grandchildren, John, Jeffery and Amanda Hege, Stacey and Tyler Thrush and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Amos was the last of twelve siblings to pass; Ruth Heatwole, Paul Hege, John Hege, Anna Kuhns, Mark Hege, Emma Martin, twins Isaac and Michael Hege, twins Noah and Enos Hege and his twin brother Adam Hege.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 18 at 10:00 AM from the Antrim Brethren In Christ Church 24 Kauffman Road East Chambersburg with Rev. Ky R. Searcy officiating. Burial will be in the Browns Mill Cemetery Kauffman, PA.  The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and one hour before the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Lutheran Home Care And Hospice 2700 Luther Dr. Chambersburg, PA 17202. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.zimmermanfh.com. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle.
