Alvey C. Kennedy

Alvey C. Kennedy, age 73, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at his home. Born June 14, 1948, in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Warren C. and Patricia Powell Kennedy.

Mr. Kennedy was a 1966 graduate of the Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School. He lastly worked as a truck driver for Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe for 22 years, retiring in 2011. He enjoyed shooting billiards, bingo, and watching TV.

Surviving are two children, Jessie Kennedy (fiancé Kellie R. Ash) of Waynesboro, PA and Jamie Kennedy of Chambersburg, PA; two grandchildren, Brooke and Bryce Kennedy; a brother, Gary Kennedy; and his dog, Peanut. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carol J. Stevens Kennedy and two siblings, Larry Kennedy and Ruth Ann Pool.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 6 – 8 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc. 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA 17225. Services and interment will be private.
