Alma G. Kuhn, age 105, of 2236 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, Pa. and formerly of North Sixth St., Chambersburg, Pa. died at 11:00 P.M. Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Linda Wilson''s Residential Care of Chambersburg, Pa.
Born October 16, 1902 in Greencastle, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Russell S. and Sarah Belle (Wagner) Kuhn.
She has been a member of the Otterbein United Brethren Church of Greencastle since 1902 where she has taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She is a member of the Rhodes Grove United Brethren Camp Meeting Association and attended camp at Rhodes Grove for many years until 2004. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting for her family, collecting and wearing hats, and for the past 25 years she has enjoyed visiting her great niece, Nancy Helman Stafford, in Tallahassee and Pensacola, Florida.
In her earlier years she worked in sales at the former Montgomery Ward, JC Penney, and the former Wonder Hat Shoppe all of Chambersburg, Pa. She is a 1921 graduate of the Greencastle High School.
Surviving family are, Two Nephews, Three Great Nieces, and One Great Nephew.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Viola Gift, Beulah Stumbaugh, Blanche Martin, Olive Senseny, and Clema Kuhn, and two brothers McKinley Kuhn and Roy Kuhn.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from the Otterbein United Brethren Church, 146 Leitersburg St., Greencastle, Pa. with Rev. David Rawley officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, Pa. It was Alma''s request that there would be no public viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Otterbein United Brethren Church, 146 Leitersburg St., Greencastle, Pa. 17225. Arrangements were entrusted to the Harold M.
