Addie Maye Wilson Martin, age 87 of 14624 Greencastle Pike Hagerstown, Md. and a resident of ManorCare Health Services of Chambersburg since July 2, 2009 died at 8:25 P.M. Saturday, August 22, 2009 in the nursing home.

Born July 10, 1922 in Lemasters, Pa she was the daughter of the late Rev. Ira S. and Cora M. (Rice) Burkett.

She was a homemaker and had worked at the former Better Foods Co. of Greencastle. Addie was an active member of the Hollowell Brethren In Christ Church near Waynesboro where she was a member of the Kingdom Builders Sunday School Class.

She and her first husband, William G. "Bill" Wilson Sr. were married on January 12, 1939. He died on November 11, 1997.

Surviving family are her husband Ezra B. Martin, whom she married on July 8, 2001, three daughters, Esther Campbell, Summerville S.C., Betty E. Wilson, Hagerstown, MD., Julie Wesley, Fayetteville, PA.. two sons, William G. Wilson Jr., Las Vegas, NV., Rev. Joseph I. Wilson, Inman, S.C., eight sisters, Ruth Saum, Betty Drake, Bernice Henneberger and Naomi Mullens, all of Hagerstown, MD., Peggy Jenkins, Covington, LA., Joy Canoles, Berkeley Springs, W.VA., Lois Willman, Pennsylvania, Dodie Clemens, Haymarket VA., one brother David Rice, Greencastle, PA., two step daughters, Ruth Reiff and Lois Snodderly, both of Hagerstown, MD., thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, six step grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Ora Rice Hupfer.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 27 at 1:00 P.M. from the Hollowell Brethren In Christ Church 14075 Hollowell Church Rd. Waynesboro with Pastors Blaine Lougheed and James Sollenberger officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church Cemetery in Coseytown, PA. The family will receive friends at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. and at the church one hour before the service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Hospice Of Washington County 747 Northern Ave. Hagerstown, MD. 21740 or to the Hollowell Brethren In Christ Church Building Fund 14807 Hollowell Church Rd.
