Ada B. Horst

Ada B. Horst, age 97, a resident of the Mennonite Home, 13436 Maugansville Rd., Hagerstown, MD., and formerly of Sunrise Dr., Maugansville, MD. died at 4:30 P.M. Saturday, May 31, 2008 in the Home.

Born November 30, 1910 near Maugansville, MD., she was the daughter of the late Martin L. and Mary (Baer) Horst.

She formerly worked in the laundry department at the Mennonite Home, Hagerstown, MD. for over 20 years and did housekeeping. She enjoyed quilting.

She was a member of Reiff Mennonite Church, near Cearfoss, MD.

Surviving family are one Brother, Mahlon M. Horst of Harrisonburg, VA. and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Two Brothers and Four Sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. from the Reiff Mennonite Church, near Cearfoss, MD. with the Reiff Mennonite Church Ministry officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the Reiff Mennonite Church and one hour before the services on Wednesday at the church. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle, PA.
